2014 Greenbrier Classic

Want to check out some PGA Tour golf during Independence Day week? Then head to White Sulphur Springs, WV for the 2014 Greenbrier Classic held June 30 – July 6, 2014.

Greenbrier ClassicThe Greenbrier Classic is played on The Old White TPC, the first 18-hole golf course at The Greenbrier, which opened in 1914. This historic course features generous fairways and challenging, undulated greens. Every hole is memorable and has a well defined strategy for success. Whether you prefer a challenging approach or one with less risk, and a higher chance of success, you’ll find it on this historic course.

The past Champions at the Greenbrier Classic are Jonas Blixt (2013), Ted Potter Jr. (2012), Scott Stallings (2011), and Stuart Appleby (2010).

This year’s field features many fan favorites including Bubba Watson who won the Masters Tournament in 2012 and 2014.

The Greenbrier Classic is also known for it’s weeklong festival of events for the whole family. The new Kids Zone brings fans, family and the Fourth of July together. The exciting new venue includes a putting course, bounce houses, kid friendly concessions, arts and crafts, and temporary tattoos face painting for kids of all ages. Fans are encouraged to visit this interactive area, which will be open to the public from 10am – 6pm daily. The Kids Zone is located on Hole No. 12of The Old White TPC Course.

Jimmy BuffetAnd as usual, the live music lineup for this weeks festival is top notch. Maroon 5 will play on Friday, July 4th at 9:30pm and Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will bring their Key West sound on Saturday, July 5th at 9:30pm.

The Greenbrier Classic has become one of the all around top stops on the PGA Tour for both fans and golfers alike.
