Battlefield Golf Club  (Opened 10/13/07)
Now you can "Play the Battlefield" in Hampton Roads. The course has the most topography of any course in the immediate area with some elevations as high as 35 to 40 feet above ground level. Battlefield Golf Club by Bobby Holcomb is an 18 hole par 70 and will measure approximately 6200 yards from the back tees. This links style course is built around 7 lakes and was designed to have lots of challenges for all skill levels.

Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club  (Opened 10/26/06)
This new course just off of I-66 is simply a startling collection of holes. Some have an epic drop from tee to fairway and things like water and environmental areas to make you think twice about the shot you will play. Pendleton Golf Club  (Opened 9/28/06)
Caroline County is becoming a golf destination with this new addition. Pendleton was designed by renowned architect Thomas Walker, former lead designer at the Gary Player Design Company. This challenging course will feature undulating fairways, striking elevation changes and pristine greens.

Poplar Hill Golf Club  (Opened June 2006)
Expectations are high for the new Poplar Hill Golf Club in Farmville, Virginia. The 18 hole championship course, designed by architect Rick Robbins, is the centerpiece of a master plan for a community that includes the golf course and clubhouse, an inn and executive conference center, and homes. Laurel Hill Golf Club  (Opened Oct 15, 2005)
Laurel Hill is the new Fairfax County Park Authority golf course that will open this fall. Laurel Hill Golf Club will be the county’s 7th golf course and its first "upscale" golf offering. The Bill Love designed course is located on the 280 acres dairy farm that was part of the Lorton Prison/DC Department of Corrections property. The golf course is one part of the complete redevelopment of the prison property that will include a county high school, a cold war museum, an equestrian center, an athletic field complex and the Lorton Arts center. Bear National Golf Club  (Scheduled for Summer 2006)
Bear National Golf Club at Dulles 28 Centre, will be a Nicklaus Design 18-hole championship golf course. Bear National will feature a Nicklaus Academy, a year-round training academy with covered and heated tee stations, club fitting center, video and computer technology, 2,000 square foot golf shop and more. The golf academy is scheduled to open in Summer 2005 and the golf course is scheduled to open in Summer 2006.

Lansdowne Resort  (Opened Summer 2005)
Lansdowne is adding a new Greg Norman designed championship course as well as a new 40,000 sq. ft. clubhouse.

White Clay Creek Country Club  (Opened 2005)
White Clay Creek Country Club is an 18-hole, 7007-yard championship golf course designed by the renowned Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest & Associates. White Clay Creek features a Golf Academy with indoor and outdoor teaching facilities, a 40,000 square-foot clubhouse, a fitness center, and a 250-person banquet area. White Clay Creek Country Club is located on the grounds of Delaware Park, just off I-95.

Poplar Grove Golf Club  (Opened Summer 2004)
Sam Snead's final golf course design, reflects a culmination of a lifetime in championship golf. Carved through native Virginia forest, the layout features rolling terrain, natural streams and lakes, and sweeping mountain views. Read all about it in Pros N' Hackers.

Mattaponi Springs Golf Club  (Opened November 2004)
Mattaponi Springs Golf Club was six years in the making before its long-awaited opening on November 1st. The course winds through 330 acres of isolated forest and pasture in the heart of Virginia horse country. There are no homes on the course. There are no roads to hit onto or cross while playing. There is not a single "out of bounds" stake. The only sounds at Mattaponi Springs are chirping birds, babbling streams, the whistle of a nearby train, and the occasional cheer as a perfectly struck shot lands softly on the green or a twenty foot putt hits home.

Compass Pointe - South Course  (Opening July 30, 2004)
Another 9-holes are ready! The South course is a picturesque, peaceful, tree lined golf course, complimented by gently rolling hills, a generous assortment of bunkers and slightly undulated greens. Each hole is uniquely designed to provides golfers of all skill levels an enjoyable yet challenging golf experience.

Hilltop Golf Club  (Opened October 2003)
Hilltop has opened a 2,300-yard course, created by Lindsay Bruce Ervin, an award-winning architect who has also laid such outstanding courses as Queenstown Harbor and Hog Neck. It has a Scottish links flavor, with five sets of tees to provide fun and challenges for all golfers, from beginners to single-digit handicappers. From the very first hole you’re going to start climbing to higher elevations and beautiful views of the Potomac River and Maryland shoreline.

Somerset Golf Club  (Re-Opening August 29th 2003)
The golf course will re-open in late August after an extensive renovation. Respected Golf Course Architect, Rick Robbins, has made Somerset even better with improved playability, look and conditioning.

Compass Pointe Golf Courses  (Opening Summer 2003)
Compass Pointe will open 18 holes late this summer in Pasadena, MD. Eventually there will be a North, South, East and West nine (hence the name). 2 nines will be links style and 2 will be more traditional with above average undulation on large greens. The course is being designed by Lindsay Ervin who has also done Queenstown, Hog Neck, The Woodlands, and The Links of Gettysburg.

Potomac Ridge Golf Club  (Opened 2003)
Potomac Ridge is adding an additional 9 holes to the existing course. The new 9 will be merged with the existing back and the current front nine will be its own course.

Cross Creek Golf Club  (Opened 2002)
Cross Creek Golf Club will get the attention of golfers of all skill levels right from the start. The par 5 first requires a precise drive over water with trees lining the remainder of the hole. The par 70, Ault, Clark & Associates design embraces the natural forested landscape while carving out fairways that will make accuracy and shot making a premium. On the back nine the remnants of an old gravel quarry afforded many unique opportunities to forge spectacular holes amid the weathered vertical sand backs.

Maryland National Golf Club  (Opened June 29, 2002)
Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of central Maryland with views of the Catoctin Mountains, Maryland National Golf Club’s picturesque 18-hole, par 71 layout provides an unforgettable golfing experience.

Hollow Creek Golf Club  (Opened June 22, 2002)
This magnificent course, designed by Rick Jacobsen, will provide a challenging round for golfers of any skill level. The course, laid out over the rolling Middletown countryside, is accented with placid ponds, lush foliage, and one challenging hole after another.

Upland Golf Club  (Opened April 19, 2002)
Conveniently located off Route 404 in Denton, Maryland, the Upland Golf Club offers 18 championship holes of the finest golf in Maryland. With its breathtaking natural beauty and its pristine playing conditions, this par 71 Joel Weiman design is sure to be an instant classic in the hearts of golfers everywhere.
